Odoo Manufacturing, planned from real demand.
Bills of materials, work orders and material planning in the same system as sales, stock and costing, with operators working from tablets on the floor. We implement Odoo Manufacturing for food, pharma, plastics and building materials factories in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
What Odoo Manufacturing does
The standard 20 Enterprise feature set we configure, train on and support.
Bills of materials
Multi-level bills of materials with components, by-products and operations, variant-specific lines, kits for sets sold together, and version control through engineering change orders in PLM.
Work centers and routings
Work centers with capacity, working hours, costs per hour and OEE targets, and routings that sequence operations with setup, cleanup and expected durations.
MRP and master schedule
Reordering rules and make-to-order routes create manufacturing orders from demand, while the master production schedule plans quantities by week or month against forecast.
Shop floor control
Operators start and stop work orders on the Shop Floor tablet view, follow step instructions, record components and lots, scrap material and log time per operation.
Work order planning
Work orders planned on a Gantt chart per work center, with component availability shown on each order and capacity conflicts visible before the shift starts.
Subcontracting and costing
Subcontracted production with components sent to the vendor, unbuild orders to recover components, and an MO overview comparing expected and real component and operation costs.
Configured for Kuwait, the GCC and Egypt
The local rules we set up and keep current for Odoo Manufacturing, so the system matches the regulator and the way people here work.
Why an Official Odoo Partner matters- Saudi Arabia: SFDA and SASOBatch records, ingredient lots and release status kept for SFDA inspections of food, drug and cosmetics plants, and product certificates linked for SASO conformity through SABER.
- Gulf Conformity MarkTechnical files and test reports attached to products such as toys and low-voltage electrical appliances that need the G-Mark before sale anywhere in the GCC.
- Kuwait factoriesCosting in KWD with three decimals, Arabic and English product labels that follow GSO labelling standards for food, and work center calendars that switch to Ramadan shift hours.
- Arabic shop floorWork instructions, operator screens and production reports in Arabic for operators and in English for engineers, on the same tablet and the same work order.
What IT Horizon adds on top of Odoo Manufacturing
Modules and services we built from real Gulf implementations, written to Odoo guidelines so they upgrade with the platform.
ITH Batch for pharma and food
Batch status from quality inspection to released, restricted or blocked, usage decisions before a batch reaches stock, shelf-life rules, temperature logs and recall by batch.
ITH Workflow approvals
Approval chains your own team defines for batch usage decisions and inventory write-downs, with amount bands, deadlines, escalation and a printed approval sheet.
ITH Planning
Safety stock calculated from demand variability and lead time on each reordering rule, and an exception list showing which components will run short before production needs them.
ITH Material Ledger
Actual costing of finished goods with landed costs on imported raw materials, so production variances reach the ledger at month end.
Works with
Odoo apps share one database, so Manufacturing exchanges data with these apps without connectors.
Questions, answered.
Yes. Bills of materials handle by-products and batch quantities, lots carry expiry dates from raw material to finished goods, and ITH Batch adds quality inspection, quarantine and release so no batch ships before quality signs it off.
Yes. Reordering rules and the master production schedule turn sales orders and forecasts into manufacturing orders, then explode the bills of materials into component demand. Missing components become RFQs with the vendor lead time already applied.
No. A shared tablet runs the Shop Floor view under one user, and operators identify themselves with a PIN so time and quantities are recorded against the right employee. Supervisors and planners who create orders need their own user.
Component costs come from the stock valuation method, FIFO or average, and operation costs from time logged against each work center rate. The MO overview compares expected with real cost per order, and ITH Material Ledger carries actual costing through to month end.
It gives you the records inspectors ask for: lot genealogy from raw material to customer, quality checks per operation, equipment maintenance history and batch status. Computer system validation for GMP is a project of its own, planned with your quality team.
Plan production on facts from order to finished batch.
Tell us what you make, how many lines you run and how you plan today, and we will model one product end to end.
