In Point of Sale a scanner adds products to the order, reads loyalty cards and prices weighed items from price-embedded barcodes. In Inventory and Manufacturing it validates receipts, picks and work orders. We program each scanner with the keyboard layout, suffix and code types Odoo needs, so an Arabic keyboard on the till does not break a scan.
For medicine and food we turn on GS1 DataMatrix and GS1-128, so Odoo reads the product, the lot and the expiry date from one scan. Every scanner is tested with your own product barcodes before delivery.
- Keyboard layout and suffix set for Odoo
- GS1 lot and expiry reading tested
- Price-embedded barcodes for weighed items
- Stands, cradles and cables included

Common questions
Yes. A USB or Bluetooth scanner works in Odoo Point of Sale without extra software. We set its suffix and keyboard layout so every scan adds the right product.
The 2D models, such as the DS2208, DS4608, DS8108 and DS9308, read QR codes and codes shown on phone screens, which shops use for coupons and loyalty cards.
A 2D scanner that reads GS1 DataMatrix, such as the DS4608 or DS8108. Odoo then reads the product, the lot number and the expiry date from the code on the pack.
Corded scanners suit fixed tills. Cordless models such as the DS2278, DS4678 and DS3678 suit counters with large items and warehouses, and charge in their cradle.
