Odoo Time Off, balances the law agrees with.

Leave types, accruals and approvals set to the labor law of each country you employ in, with balances employees can check on their phone. We implement Odoo Time Off for Gulf companies and feed approved leave straight into payroll, indemnity and leave provisions.

What Odoo Time Off does

The standard 20 Enterprise feature set we configure, train on and support.

01

Time off types

Annual, sick, unpaid, hajj, maternity and compensatory leave as separate types, each with its own approval rule, supporting document requirement and unit in days, half days or hours.

02

Accrual plans

Accrual plans with milestones by seniority, monthly or yearly accrual, carryover caps with an expiry date for carried days, and an optional negative balance limit.

03

Approval rules

Validation by the manager, the time off officer, both or nobody, with requests shown on the team calendar so overlaps are visible before anyone approves.

04

Public and mandatory days

Public holidays per company and working schedule, and mandatory days that block leave requests during peak periods such as stock counts, audits or year end.

05

Employee dashboard

Employees see balances, request leave and attach a medical certificate from the dashboard or the Odoo mobile app, and managers approve from the same screen.

06

Payroll and reporting

Approved leave becomes work entries for Payroll, unpaid days reduce salary, and the time off analysis shows balances, days taken and pending requests by department.

Configured for Kuwait, the GCC and Egypt

The local rules we set up and keep current for Odoo Time Off, so the system matches the regulator and the way people here work.

Why an Official Odoo Partner matters
  • Kuwait: Labor Law No. 6 of 2010Thirty days of paid annual leave, sick leave in paid, partly paid and unpaid tiers, and a one-time paid hajj leave, with balances feeding leave encashment and indemnity at settlement.
  • Saudi ArabiaAnnual leave of 21 days rising to 30 after five years of service, sick leave at full, three quarters and no pay in sequence, and a six-hour day for Muslim staff during Ramadan.
  • United Arab EmiratesFederal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021 gives two days a month after six months of service and 30 days a year after the first year, which we model as an accrual plan with milestones.
  • Weekends and Hijri holidaysFriday-Saturday weekends in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman, Saturday-Sunday for most UAE private employers, and Eid holidays loaded on Hijri dates and confirmed when announced.
ITH Suite

What IT Horizon adds on top of Odoo Time Off

Modules and services we built from real Gulf implementations, written to Odoo guidelines so they upgrade with the platform.

ITH HR and payroll

Monthly leave provisions measured at the wage in force, leave encashment at settlement, and published rosters so supervisors see who is on shift before approving leave.

ITH Workflow approvals

Approval chains beyond two levels, such as manager, department head and HR for leave over 15 days, with deadlines, escalation and delegation while an approver is away.

ITH Hub self-service

Leave requests, balances and approvals on the Flutter app for staff without an Odoo user, such as drivers, warehouse crews and site workers.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Yes. Time off types and accrual plans are set per company, so a Kuwaiti company accrues 30 days a year while a Saudi company accrues 21 days rising to 30 after five years. Employees only see the types that apply to their company.

Hijri holidays move every year and are confirmed close to the date. We load expected dates at the start of the year and adjust them when announced, and Odoo recalculates the duration of any leave request that overlaps the holiday.

Yes. Accrual plans carry over a maximum number of days with an expiry date for the carried balance. Days above the cap can lapse or be paid out, depending on your policy and the labor law of each country.

Yes, when Payroll is installed. Approved unpaid leave becomes an unpaid work entry and the payslip deducts it at the daily rate your salary rules define. Partly paid sick leave follows the same route with its own rate in our localization.

Yes. Employees with an Odoo user request leave and check balances in the Odoo mobile app. Staff without a user, such as drivers and site workers, use the ITH Hub app, and both kinds of request reach the same approval queue.
