Odoo Timesheets, hours that reach the invoice.
Consultants log time against tasks, tickets and field jobs, managers validate it weekly, and billable hours flow onto the next invoice at the agreed rate. We implement Odoo Timesheets for Gulf consultancies, IT services firms and contractors that sell their time and need the cost of every hour.
What Odoo Timesheets does
The standard 20 Enterprise feature set we configure, train on and support.
Grid and timer entry
A weekly grid to fill hours per project and task, plus a start and stop timer on tasks, tickets and field service jobs in the browser and mobile app.
Manager validation
Managers validate timesheets by period, after which entries lock for employees, and reminder emails go to staff and managers who have not recorded their hours.
Billable rates
Billing rates per project, per task or per employee mapped to sales order lines, so a senior consultant and a junior bill at different prices on one contract.
Invoicing from time
Service products invoiced on timesheets, with only approved hours invoiced if you choose, and prepaid hour packages that show the balance left on the sales order.
Cost and analytics
Each entry is valued at the employee hourly cost and posted to the project analytic account, feeding project profitability and cost reports by department or client.
Time off and reporting
Approved time off and public holidays create timesheet entries automatically, and reports compare billable with non-billable time per employee, project and period.
Configured for Kuwait, the GCC and Egypt
The local rules we set up and keep current for Odoo Timesheets, so the system matches the regulator and the way people here work.
Why an Official Odoo Partner matters- Local working weekWorking schedules run Sunday to Thursday in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and Monday to Friday for UAE teams on that week, so expected hours and reminders match reality.
- Ramadan hoursA reduced Ramadan schedule, such as the 36-hour week in Kuwait and for Muslim staff in Saudi Arabia, applied for the month so gaps are measured against hours actually owed.
- Government timesheet packsMinistries and state companies in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia often ask for signed monthly timesheets per consultant with each invoice, printed in Arabic and English from validated entries.
- Tax on billed hoursInvoices from time carry 15% VAT and ZATCA e-invoicing in Saudi Arabia, 5% VAT in the UAE, and KWD three-decimal rounding in Kuwait, where there is no VAT.
What IT Horizon adds on top of Odoo Timesheets
Modules and services we built from real Gulf implementations, written to Odoo guidelines so they upgrade with the platform.
ITH HR and payroll
We connect Timesheets to ITH HR and payroll, with its establishment and roster control, so approved overtime reaches the payslip as an input for the month.
ITH Workflow
Multi-level approval of timesheets before billing, for example project manager then client lead, with delegation when an approver is away, built on ITH Workflow.
Client timesheet portal
Clients review and acknowledge monthly timesheets in the ITH Hub Next.js portal before the invoice is issued, connected to Odoo through ITH API.
Works with
Odoo apps share one database, so Timesheets exchanges data with these apps without connectors.
Questions, answered.
Yes. Set the invoicing policy to approved timesheets only, and Odoo ignores unvalidated entries when it creates the invoice. Validated entries are locked for employees, so the hours on the invoice cannot change after the fact.
Use the employee rate mapping on the project. Each consultant is linked to a sales order line with its own price, so hours from a senior architect and a developer land on separate invoice lines at the agreed rates.
Prepaid packages are sold as a service product with a number of hours. Timesheets draw them down and the remaining balance shows on the task and the sales order, so you know when to sell the next package.
Employees who log their own time need a user. Managers can also record time on behalf of employees without one. For large teams we review the user mix with you before go-live, since Odoo licensing is counted per user.
Timesheets record work against projects, while overtime in the GCC is usually driven by attendance. We connect Attendances and Timesheets so you can compare both, and approved overtime goes to payroll as an input on the payslip.
Bill every hour worked at the agreed rate.
Tell us how you price your consultants and how clients approve hours, and we will show you the flow in Odoo.
