Odoo Point of Sale, checkout that works offline.
Odoo Point of Sale runs retail counters and restaurants from a browser, keeps selling when the connection drops and posts every session to stock and accounting. We implement it for Gulf retailers and restaurant groups with KNET and Mada terminals, bilingual receipts and branches in several countries.
What Odoo Point of Sale does
The standard 20 Enterprise feature set we configure, train on and support.
Offline-capable checkout
The POS runs in the browser on a tablet, laptop or touch terminal and keeps selling offline, syncing orders as soon as the connection returns.
Payments and cash control
Integrated card terminals from Adyen, Stripe or Viva Wallet, split payments across cash, card and customer account, and opening and closing cash counts per session.
Restaurant floor and kitchen
Floor plans with tables, split bills, table transfers, course-based ordering and a preparation display that routes each item to the right kitchen station.
Self-ordering and takeaway
QR menus and self-order kiosks that send orders straight to the kitchen, with dine-in and takeaway prices or taxes applied per order type.
Loyalty and gift cards
Points programs, coupons, promotions, gift cards and eWallet balances shared between the shop and the online store, applied automatically at checkout.
Stock and accounting sync
Each sale reduces stock in the warehouse of that shop, and closing the session posts the journal entries per payment method with any cash difference recorded.
Configured for Kuwait, the GCC and Egypt
The local rules we set up and keep current for Odoo Point of Sale, so the system matches the regulator and the way people here work.
Why an Official Odoo Partner matters- Kuwait receipt requirementsReceipts in Arabic and English with the store name, date and time, itemized prices in KWD at three decimals and the total paid, as Kuwait consumer protection rules require.
- Saudi Arabia: ZATCA simplified invoicesEvery POS receipt in Saudi Arabia is a simplified tax invoice that must carry a QR code and be reported to ZATCA within 24 hours, with 15% VAT per line.
- Local card networksKNET in Kuwait, Mada in Saudi Arabia and Benefit in Bahrain each get their own payment method, so card takings reconcile against each settlement report.
- Restaurant flows like FoodicsDine-in, takeaway, car pickup and delivery order types with modifiers, combos and kitchen routing, matching the flows Gulf restaurant teams know from Foodics.
What IT Horizon adds on top of Odoo Point of Sale
Modules and services we built from real Gulf implementations, written to Odoo guidelines so they upgrade with the platform.
KNET and Mada terminal integration
We connect bank-issued KNET and Mada terminals to the payment screen, so the amount goes to the terminal and the approval code returns to the order.
ITH Inventory
Branch replenishment from the central warehouse with pick waves, dock scheduling and cycle-count programs run from supervisor execution screens.
Treasury and cash reserve
Shop cash tracked from the session close to the bank deposit, with the cash position by branch and bank in ITH Treasury.
Cashier training in Arabic
Cashier and supervisor training in Arabic and English on opening, selling, refunds and closing, delivered by an Official Odoo Learning Partner.
Works with
Odoo apps share one database, so Point of Sale exchanges data with these apps without connectors.
Questions, answered.
Yes, through an integration we build for the terminal your acquiring bank provides. The cashier selects KNET, the amount goes to the terminal, and the approval code returns to the order. Where a bank cannot integrate, the terminal runs standalone and the cashier records the reference.
The POS keeps selling. Orders are stored on the device and sync to Odoo when the connection returns, as long as the session was opened while online. Integrated card terminals need their own connection, so we advise a 4G backup router per branch.
Yes. Waiters take orders on tablets by table, items go to the preparation display or kitchen printer of each station, and the kitchen marks them ready. Bills can be split by item or by guest, and tips are recorded per order.
Any tablet or PC with a current browser, a receipt printer, a cash drawer and a barcode scanner. Printers and scales connect through an IoT box, or printers directly over the network with Epson ePOS models. We recommend models sold and supported locally.
Yes. One loyalty program can run in Point of Sale and the eCommerce store, so a customer earns points at the counter and spends them online. Gift cards and eWallet balances work the same way across both channels.
Run every branch from one back office.
Tell us how many shops or restaurants you run and which terminals you use, and we will plan the rollout branch by branch.
