Odoo for companies in Bahrain, set up for 10% VAT, SIO payroll and the WPS salary file.
IT Horizon is an Odoo partner in Salmiya, Kuwait. We implement Odoo 20 Enterprise for companies in Bahrain, with workshops by video call and days on site in Bahrain when the project needs them. We set up Bahraini VAT, payroll for SIO and the LMRA Wages Protection System, and invoices in Arabic and English.
The Bahraini rules we set up in Odoo.
Odoo ships a Bahrain accounting package for VAT. We add the payroll, bank and document setup around it and test everything on a copy of your data.
VAT at 10%
Odoo’s Bahrain chart of accounts and taxes, tax invoices with your VAT number, and the VAT return report you file with the National Bureau for Revenue (NBR).
Payroll and SIO
Salary rules for SIO contributions on Bahraini and expatriate staff, the monthly end-of-service contribution for expatriates, allowances and leave settlement.
WPS and banks
The monthly salary file for the LMRA Wages Protection System, and bank statements in Bahraini dinars imported and reconciled in Accounting.
Arabic and English documents
Tax invoices with Arabic and English on the same page, payslips and reports in either language, and right-to-left screens for Arabic users.
Implementation and hosting
Workshops, configuration, data migration and go-live on Odoo 20, hosted on Odoo.sh or on servers you choose.
Support after go-live
A team in Kuwait, in the same time zone as Bahrain, as your first line of support, with response times written into the agreement.
In Bahrain, payroll takes more setup than VAT.
Odoo includes a Bahrain accounting package with the chart of accounts, VAT taxes and tax reports, so VAT at 10% is mostly configuration and testing. Payroll is different: Odoo has no Bahraini payroll package, so we write the salary rules for your company. They cover SIO contributions for Bahraini and expatriate staff, the end-of-service contribution employers now pay to SIO every month for expatriates, and leave settlement.
Salaries in Bahrain are paid through the LMRA Wages Protection System, with a salary file submitted every month. We produce that file from the approved payroll in Odoo, so what the bank pays matches the payslips and the accounting entries. For gaps we meet across the Gulf, such as multi-level approvals, we add modules from our ITH Suite on Odoo 20.
