What makes Odoo eCommerce different
Most store builders stop at the checkout. Odoo eCommerce is an app inside the same database as sales, inventory, accounting and CRM, so an online order reserves real stock, creates the delivery, posts the invoice and lands in the customer’s history without an integration in between.
Website and catalog
Pages are built with a drag-and-drop editor, and the catalog shares product data with the rest of Odoo: variants, prices, pricelists per customer group and descriptions in Arabic and English. Each page and product has its own SEO title, description and URL.
CRM and marketing
Visitors who sign up or abandon a cart become contacts in CRM. Email Marketing and Marketing Automation use the same contacts for campaigns, promotions and follow-ups, and every order is visible on the customer record.
Stock and fulfilment
The store shows what is actually available in the warehouse. Orders flow into pick, pack and ship steps with barcode scanning, and replenishment rules reorder before popular items sell out. Courier integrations print labels and track deliveries.
Local payments and tax
Shoppers in the region expect local payment methods. Odoo connects to gateways that support KNET in Kuwait, Mada in Saudi Arabia, Benefit in Bahrain and cards across the GCC, including Tap Payments and MyFatoorah, and to Fawry and Paymob in Egypt. On the tax side, Odoo handles VAT for Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Oman, ZATCA e-invoicing, and Egypt’s ETA e-invoices and e-receipts.
Several companies and currencies
A group selling in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Egypt can run separate companies, websites and currencies in one database, with consolidated reporting on top.
Reporting
Sales by channel, product margin, stock turnover and campaign results come from one set of numbers, so marketing and finance stop arguing about whose spreadsheet is right.
When Odoo eCommerce is the right choice
- You already run Odoo, or plan to, for stock and accounting.
- Your catalog and stock change daily, and overselling costs you customers.
- You sell in more than one country and need local payments, tax and currencies.
- You want Arabic and English from the same product data.
When a brand needs a fully custom storefront, we build it in Next.js and connect it to Odoo through our ITH API, so the back office stays the same.
